The Gloucester Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership is a local authority initiative designed to play a role not only in reducing such crimes as burglary, car and cycle theft, arson, robbery and ant social behaviour but also, importantly, the fear of crime itself.
We have worked on behalf of the CDRP for some time and this material forms part of a wider range of leaflets and posters designed by us over the past 4 years.
Halcyon Days offers a unique range of luxury products including antiques, enamels, porcelain and jewellery and is the proud and distinguished holder of three royal warrants from Her Majesty the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales.
The exquisite craftsmanship that lies behind the companyʼs incomparable collectors’ items is based on the classic English craft of enamelling on copper, a trade which flourished during the second half of the 18th century, but had declined and virtually ceased by the 1830s until the latter part of the 20th century when re-introduced by Halcyon Days Enamellers.
Today, Halcyon Daysʼ luxury products – which include such items as gold embellished musical boxes, enamel and sterling silver cufflinks, royal memorabilia, porcelain and Bonbonnieres are sold through their own antique shop in Londonʼs Mayfair, prestige jewellery and gift stores in the worldʼs leading cities and online via a brand new website www.halcyon-days.co.uk created by the team at ICON.
The website is based on ICONʼs own OTPS v 5.0 content management system with bespoke E-commerce application, and has been designed around a user-friendly layout that epitomises quality at the same time as maximising online sales revenue.
High functionality was also a priority and the ICON team have incorporated a number of features, such as a ‘click to enlarge’ image option which allows the user to identify the smallest detail, a home page ‘featured designs’ section and dynamic carousel for highlighted product selection, a ‘modal window’ options box which allows for personalised inscription and gift wrapping, and a facility that enables the
user to arrange the despatch of their gifts to multiple addresses.
ICON.net Limited creative director James Chance adds: “We relish every opportunity and challenge of proving our creative and technical expertise to clients locally, but to win business like this out of London is a real endorsement of just how very much we are attuned to the technology and culture of the web.”

It’s not by any means the first e-commerce site we’ve designed, but it is the first time we’ve spotted our Creative Director brushing up on royal etiquette…just in case!
