A new 12 page quarto size brochure designed by us for GKN Land Systems was unveiled at the international AgConnect exhibition held recently in Atlanta, Georgia.

The brochure updates and supercedes the previous edition which we originally produced some 12 months ago and will shortly appear as an A4 version for pan-European distribution.

Also launched at the show was a new set of agricultural wheels product data sheets designed by us on behalf of GKN Wheels, the world’s leading manufacturer of off highway wheels for the global agricultural, mining and construction industries.

ICON account director, Geoffrey Ainsworth admits the production schedule was extremely tight on both these projects.

“Thanks to the very close co-operation of the client, our creative team and our printers we were able to overcome the considerable difficulties of the weather and the Christmas and New Year holiday to get these jobs printed, despatched and delivered in time for the opening day of the exhibition on 7 Jan.”

With facilities in over 30 countries and over 5000 employees, GKN Land Systems is a world leading manufacturer and component supplier of off highway wheels, drive shafts, tractor attachment systems, clutches, gearboxes and structural assemblies, and a key business within the international engineering group GKN plc.

This new portable display is part of a wider project we are engaged in to design and produce some 14 banner systems for use worldwide.

One of the features at the forthcoming Shropshire County Show – to be held on June 26 & 27 – is a parachute display by The Red Devils, the official parachute display team of both the Parachute Regiment (The Paras) and the British Army.

Show sponsors – including our client GKN Wheels and AutoStructures – will be casting their eyes skywards to see their logo flags flying in all their glory attached to each of the Red Devils team.

And in a few weeks’ time it won’t be flags that will be flying with the Red Devils, but two of our colleagues – the intrepid Nigel Robinson and Ben Howard. Their skydiving exploits are to raise money on behalf of Maggies Cotswold Cancer Centre which is scheduled to open at Cheltenham hospital later this year. Happy landings guys!

We’ve just completed a new corporate brochure for client GKN Wheels, the
world’s leading manufacturer of specialist off highway wheels for the global
mining, construction and agricultural equipment industries.

And did you know that the world’s first steel wheel was manufactured here in
the UK in Joseph Sankey’s factory in Telford? The very site of GKN Wheels UK
base.

These new leaflets have initially been produced in US quarto size for distribution at a major agricultural equipment exhibition in the USA.

As an existing client of some standing, we’ve worked closely with GKN Wheels on the design
and production of a wide range of printed literature and supporting display material, and now
we’ve successfully completed our first website asignment on their behalf.

Working in conjunction with the clients’ own IT dept we’ve designed templates for use within their newly updated group corporate website, including the developmentand functionality of a Home Page interactive panel.

If your business was 250 years old we bet you’d want to celebrate the fact. And that’s exactly what GKN Wheels did with employees past and present recently at their divisional head office.

We were asked to produce display stands that would not only be topical at the event itself, but also be practical (and interesting) for use over the next couple of years at shows, exhibitions and factory open days.

Did you know that, last year, GKN Wheels manufactured over 5.5 million wheels and all for off highway vehicles? Not a lot of people know that!

The West Mid Show, held every June in Shrewsbury, is one of of the UK’s premier 2 day agricultural shows. Sponsored for the next 3 years by GKN Wheels, we were asked to design and produce exterior signage for the showground entrance and main arena and support advertising. If you’re a fan of agricultural shows make a diary note for next year’s show on June 26 and 27, it’s wheely worth a visit and so is Shrewsbury!

To you and me that’s ‘Innovation on the move’ and the title for a new French language product brochure we’ve recently produced for client GKN OffHighway, one of the world’s leading suppliers of wheels and drive line systems for the off highway market.

This is the fourth version as we’ve already designed UK, US and Italian editions, with a
future German version planned.

Following hard on the heels of the UK A4 and US quarto size brochures, this Italian language version for GKN OffHighway is designed to promote the company’s global off highway wheels and drive line systems and, in particular, the Italian axles division.

As part of the project we were also responsible for print production and delivery to GKN’s
Italian factory.

Forthcoming French and German language versions are also planned.
